Nourishing the Buana Tree

Many of us feel that we have been nourished profoundly over the years through the Tribuana work, which we have learned through our meeting with Tapa Sudana.
We are very grateful for the gift which we have received, and now seems a good time to respond.
Some of us have reached the time in our lives where we are no longer students but teachers, or colleagues in a learning community.
I planted many trees about 10 or 12 years ago on my land and those trees needed a lot of nourishment, a lot of care in the first years of their lives, but now they are on their own, so my relationship to them is is different.
I no longer have to feed them all the time. Sometimes I trim them, not very much, just so that they can live more fully their lives in a community of trees. This is Tree Buana.
Most often, now I can just enjoy seeing their growth in the world.
Likewise Tapa‘s work as a gardener of our human souls has changed over the years. We no longer meet as often as we used to. That’s not necessary, because our task now is not so much taking this energy on from outside, but rather letting it grow outwards through us, to manifest in the world.
Now some of us feel it is the time to meet again physically, to share together as a learning community where we are in the world, to remember where we came from, and to feed our visions of where we are going.
I imagine this meeting here at La Luna Nel Pozzo, because of all the things which we do, that which is most clearly influenced by our meeting with Tapa is the place itself. It is our temple, which has grown step by step with our relationship to Tapa. The amphitheater, the labyrinth, the forest, the dojo and the restaurant, the many places to work, to rest, to love, to run and scream and to laugh, are a means of thanking Tapa, thanking tribuana, thanking the cosmos for the gift we’ve received in this life.
I imagine a five day workshop (perhaps over over Easter of 2021?) in which we live, look at, speak, work through, dance and eat our tribuana work. What does that mean?
It means practicing together some of the traditional work: I think of tai chi and chi gong, Silat, Kendo, the stick work— the traditional roots of the work. We needn’t practice all of these things, it’s just what comes to my mind— I’m sure other minds bring other desires and considerations. These are the roots: Ancient traditions which nourish us.
Then we have the trunk of the tree, the work which each of us is currently doing, which we can share with the others. Some of this work looks more like what we learned from Tapa, some of it is less so, but it is all nourished by tribuana.
I think of Giulio’s CommunitAzione work, I think of Pia and my clown work with differently-abled people, our sensorial work in nature, our medicinal garden. I’ve heard of Marco’s work with animals and humans, Elena’s FeldenKrais, I know there are many more activities that I’m not aware of, and I can’t wait to meet them....
In these days, through talking, showing, practice, we can share our current projects and practices, so that they can interact in our community of learners, perhaps create new hybrids.
Then comes the question of our visions, which of course grow naturally from our current work, but which will be modified, trimmed and augmented through the visions of our community of learners.
We are sharing, not physically, but temporally, a very special time, which gives us the gift of a contemplative space. We can— and must, to survive— renew and modify our priorities.
I think the near future is a very propitious time to meet, while this sense of renewal is fresh, to combine our energies towards the evolution of the planet and our lives herein.
I think Tapa‘s role in this is pretty much whatever he wants it to be. We are now in a time where he no longer has to carry and guide us, now it is our turn to lift him up, to enlarge his own vision.
We might have requests of him— not as students, asking him to guide us, but as colleagues in a community of learners, asking him his feedback, from his unique point of view. I’m looking forward to his response to my present work and visions, because I’m sure it will surprise me, and I’m certain we will both grow.
Besides sharing our theater work with the differently-abled, and our sensorial research in nature, we at La Luna nel Pozzo would like to offer our organizational work, the material preparation of the space, and the space itself. Together with Elena? Efgenia? Giulio? who? we would propose an open temporal format, collect proposals, and see that the 5 days have a proposed form (which will undoubtedly change, but it’s good to have a seed first, or there will be no tree...)
Personally, in the 5 days I would like to pursue disquette work with sacred syllables, which I would ask Tapa to nourish, and individual or group totem work. I feel those two works are something which can well feed the space here.
I imagine a time set aside every day also for vision work: How do we envision our
future/s?
I would like to ask Giulio if he could facilitate this work.
Of course everything we do will be informed by good food, good music and good laughter. We can see to the food (and Angel happily wants to cook! For us!) but the music and the laughter will be everyone’s responsibility.
We would suggest a price for people which would cover the material costs, mostly to do with food, but which makes no contribution towards us or anyone else as teachers and which should cover all of Tapa‘s costs so that he can enjoy fully the fruits of his labors over these many years. I expect some people could offer more than what we suggest, and some less, so I’m sure it would all balance out.
Of course this is just our proposal, Pia, Angel and mine. It resonates with our wonderful Skype call yesterday, but I’m alone at the moment, so many voices have not been heard. I hope these reflections can stimulate others, and generate action.

Tanti di noi ci siamo sentiti profondamente nutrito dal lavoro tribuana negli anni, iniziato con i nostri incontri con Tapa Sudana. Siamo molto grati dal dono che abbiamo ricevuto, è adesso sembra un momento buono per rispondere.
Alcuni di noi siamo arrivati alla fase della vita in cui, più che studenti, lavoriamo da insegnanti, facilitatori, o colleghi in una comunità di ‘learners.’
Una dozzina di anni fa, ho piantato tanti alberi nel terreno qui, e quei alberi richiedevano inizialmente tanta attenzione, tanta cura da parte mia. Ma adesso sono grandi, e mio rapporto con essi si è cambiato.
Non devo più curarli continuamente. Faccio un po’ di potatura, man mano, nel modo che possono vivere più pienamente, nella communita arboreo. Questo è il ‘Tree Buana.’
Adesso devo fare quasi niente, solo godere la loro crescita nel mondo.
In un modo simile il lavoro di Tapa, come giardiniere delle anime nostre, è cambiato negli anni. Non ci vediamo più spesso. Non è più necessario, perché nostro compito adesso è meno l’assorbimento dell’energia da fuori, e più il lasciarla crescere attraverso di noi, per manifestare nel mondo.
Adesso alcuni di noi sentiamo che è di nuovo tempo di incontraci fisicamente (!), a condividere, come ‘learning community,’ dove siamo nel mondo, a ricordare da dove siamo venuti, nonché a curare insieme le nostre visioni del dove stiamo andando.
M’immagine quest’incontro qui alla Luna nel Pozzo, perché, di tutte le cose che facciamo, quello più influenzato dal nostro incontro con Tapa è il luogo stesso. Questo è nostro tempio, cresciuto passo a passo con il nostro rapporto con Tapa e con tribuana. L’anfiteatro, il labirinto, il bosco, il dojo e il ristorante— i tanti luoghi per lavorare, per riposarsi, per amare, per correre e gridare, e ridere, sono stati creati in ringraziamento a Tapa, al tribuana, ringraziamento al cosmo per il dono che abbiamo ricevuto in questa vita.
M’immagino un laboratorio di 5 giorni (Pasqua 2021?) nel quale possiamo vivere, guardare, parlare, lavorare, ballare e mangiare il nostro collettivo processo tribuanico.
Questo significa sia la pratica tradizionale: penso al tai ci e il ci gong, al Silat, Kendo, i bastoni— le radici tradizionali. Non dovremo praticare tutte queste cose, sono solo quelli che mi passano per la mente— sono sicuro che altre menti porteranno altri desideri e considerazioni. Questi sono i radici: tradizioni antiche che ci nutriscono.
Poi abbiamo il tronco dell’albero: il lavoro ed i progetti attuali di ciascuno di noi, da condividere. Alcuni lavori assomigliano di più il lavoro fatto negli anni con Tapa, alcuni magari di meno, ma è tutto nutrito dal lavoro tribuana.
Penso al lavoro di Giulio sul ComunitAzione, al lavoro di Pia e me sul clown con le persone diversamente abili, del teatro sensoriale qui alla Luna, al nostro orto di erbe medicinali. Ho sentito parlare del lavoro di Marco sul rapporto umano/animali, il FeldenKrais di Elena. So che ci sono tanti lavori che non conosco, e non vedo l’ora di conoscerli....
In questi giorni, attraverso il parlare, il mostrare, il praticare, possiamo condividere i nostri progetti attuale, per poter far crescere la nostra ‘community of learners,’ magari generando gli ibridi nuovi....
Poi c’è la questione dei nostri visioni, crescendo naturalmente dai nostri attività correnti, ma che saranno modificati, potati e aumentati attraverso i visioni degli altri.
In questo momento che stiamo condividendo— non fisicamente, ma temporalmente— un periodo unico, che ci offre il dono dello spazio contemplativo, possiamo— al mio avviso, dobbiamo, per sopravvivere— rinnovare e modificare le nostre priorità.
Penso che il futuro prossimo sarà un momento propizio per incontrarci, finché il senso di rinnovamento sarà fresco, combinando le nostre energie verso l’evoluzione della pianeta e le nostre vite inglobati in ciò.
Penso che il ruolo di Tapa in questo sarà proprio quello che a lui sembra opportuno. Siamo arrivati ad un punto dove lui non deve più sentire l’obbligo di portarci e guidarci, adesso tocca a noi sopportare lui, sollevarlo per aiutarlo ad allargare ancora di più la sua visione.
Può darsi che avremo delle richieste a lui— non come studenti bisognosi di una guida, ma da colleghi in una community of learners, chiedendo il suo feedback, dal suo unico punto di vista. Non vedo l’ora di sentire le sue risposte al mio lavoro presente, perché sono sicuro che mi sorprenderanno, e che possiamo crescere tutti e due.
Oltre a condividere il nostro lavoro con i diversamente abili, e la nostra ricerca nel teatro sensoriale, noi alla Luna vogliamo offrire il nostro lavoro organizzativo, nonché la preparazione materiale dello spazio, e lo spazio stesso. Insieme ad Elena? Eugenia? Giulio? chi? proporremmo un formato temporale, raccogliere proposte individuale, a vedere che i 5 gg abbiano una forma potenziale (che sarà indubbiamente te cambiata, ma prima di avere un’albero, è bene avere un seme...)
Personalmente, nel 5 gg vorrei seguire il lavoro sulle sillabe sacre, sotto la guida di Tapa, nonché un lavoro individuale o di gruppi sul totem, lavori che m’immagino potrebbero ben nutrire il luogo qui.
M’immagine un tempo giornaliere a dedicare sui visioni: come ci immaginare il nostro futuro/futuri?
Chiederei a Giulio di facilitare questo lavoro.
Naturalmente tutto ciò che faremo sarà accompagnato dal cibo buono, buona musica e buone risate. Possiamo prevedere noi per il cibo (ed Angel si offre entusiasta da cuoca), ma la musica e le risate saranno la responsabilità di tutti.
Propineremo un costo per ciascuno che dovrebbe coprire i costi materiali— sopratutto che fare con il cibo— ma che non contempla un contributo per il lavoro degli ‘insegnanti’ (ma che invece copre tutti i costi di Tapa, nel modo che lui può godere a pieno i frutti dei suoi lavori in tutti questi anni). M’immagino che qualcuno potrebbe contribuire di più del richiesto, qualcuno di meno, quindi sono sicuro che sarà tutto in equilibrio.
Naturalmente, questo è solo la proposta di Robert, Pia, ed Angel. Nata dalle mie considerazioni dopo la conversazione Skype di venerdì, con Elena, Tapa, Giulio, Marco, Pia, Angel ed io. Scrivo da solo, cosciente che ci sono tante voci che non ho sentito ancora, ma spero che questi riflessioni possono stimolare altri, per generare azioni...

I consider space at LA Luna contain many aspect of what TriBuana need as meal and means to explore 29 TriBuana fields /lesson. When it will be, I can not propose.
I don't feel to act as teacher, nor guide, master, since I consider you all have had many experience of life to offer its crystal as lesson, conference, presentation, something to practice, to ponder, to sing, to explore, to quest together. You are my master, as also I consider tree, space, all presence surround are ready to reveal their secret, teaching. To know how to get or provoke, with Smile.
Each participants will propose. For that we need to share time. To make program who will feed commun time-totem, when and where in the space choose.
If one wish to explore TriBuana 29 menu/field, as Robert already mention in Templet proposed, happyly I will surve the wish demand. That is one of my proposal too.

I write you about this meeting with old students!!!
Elena called me some mounths ago and then we haved skaype all togheter with Eugenia,nd also with Giulio and with Elena and then with Pia. We talked about this tribuana meeting and about the idea. And about the idea to have this meeting in a "tribuana place". I propose Montevaso and Pia propose La luna nel pozzo and we leave us in this chance. Now I understand that Robert was on Skype with you and that He had done a good propose for La luna del pozzo. It can be an opportunity for me to have a meeting with you not in Montevaso!!!! It can be that after or before you will pass from Montevaso. It can be a lot of things. Maybe Puglia is a little be far from us but let we see

How are you here in Corona time? Family, Parents, Erico, House, Grand master twin-tree ?
Glad to know you have already in contact with Elena, Evgenia, Giulio, Pia, that seems to me who motorise the idea.
Now I don’t have capacity to promote further more Tribuana. Since ever Tribuana was growing by mercy of others, organisation, theater school, and this who has capacity in organise and financial.
Of course Montevaso is one of important sustainer, gardener of Tribuana, as me as servitor. And others was student, disciple, participants, friends, organisers , …. And now I did not feel to teach or guide as before. Everybody has fond their own way and mastering something as their art, knowledge , speciality , expert in …. their job.
Yet I am always happy when Tribuana is invited, but now seem the era has changed, people interest too, and economic situation is not helping to spent money to learn something that they can not use immediately .
My deep recognition and thanks to all of them, that organise Tribuana Workshop.
And in my surprise that some people arise curiosity to meet in skype chat.
I took it happily and seriously even with doubt that real meeting in a residential place will be possible.
Human wish, good god decide, when human do.
To honour this preparation, skype meeting, I made a blog, so I can put all input: WA, mail, Messenger, etc that come to me in a virtual media blogspot:

Come prima cosa ringrazio Robert per la sua proposta così preziosa e ricco di energia, insieme a Pia ed Angel.
Ognuno di noi ha un'esperienza d'incontro e di approfondimento diversa con Tapa, per me è stato una guida, vicina e lontana a seconda dei momenti.
A lui devo di avermi incoraggiata a lavorare con il corpo, e avermi accompagnata.
Se penso al lavoro con Tapa, ci sono zone di lavoro che mi piacerebbe riattraversare insieme a voi.
immagino:
-lavoro sulle sulle sillabe sacre,
- occhi chiusi
--Mi immagino anche di perlustrare zone limitrofe e osservare di quali racconti e immagini sono portatrici: ad esempio tornare in quel campo di ulivi secolari non distante dalla Luna, e starci un po', e/o andare al mare, innescare riti di sabbia.
-allenamento di Silat
-L'albero delle frasi credo possa essere una presenza simbolica insopprimibile, nonchè un pozzo da cui attingere immagini interiori, stelle che accompagnano il viaggio.
-Come proponeva Robert: tempo giornaliero dedicata alle nostre visioni e immagini sul futuro, con l'aiuto di Giulio, è una bellissima proposta
Il desiderio più essenziale e profondo, difficile da verbalizzare, è comunque di riconnettersi, risalire il torrente per tornare in visita alla sorgente.
Quindi possiamo raccogliere i desideri/proposte individuali di ognuno, e capire insieme come fare, come rispondere a Tapa, fruttificare, costruire una comunità di learners, in cui le energie si uniscono.
Mi fa piacere sapere che la Luna è stata nutrita in tuttti questi anni dal Tribuana: la mia prima visita alla Luna ha coinciso con l'incontro con Tapa, quasi 20 anni fa...aahhhhhh uhhhhh, ed è stata un esperienza sinergica tra luogo e Tribuana che mi ha cambiato la vita, aprendola.
La Luna è un posto magico, e come Montevaso - dove sono stata nel 2010-, è spazio atto a riunirsi: mi permetto di pensare che forse un po' fuori mano, non così facile da raggiungere per cui il viaggio potrebbe essere un po' costoso e lungo.. Ma forse già conoscete delle soluzioni e avete informazioni per questo.
Il periodo pasqua 2021, mi sembra un buon momento.
Forse 5 giorni sono un po' lunghi?
Mi chiedo inoltre se possiamo immaginare che ci siano degli ospiti: persone a noi care (fratelli, mariti, mogli, amiche), che non hanno conosciuto personalmente Tapa, ma che l'hanno conosciuto un po' attraverso di noi, e che potrebbero incontrarlo di persona in questa occasione.
Grazie inoltre per l'offerta della Luna di ospitare questa comunità di Learners in divenire proponendo un costo politico, necessario per coprire le spese di Tapa, e le spese materiali. Forse possiamo già fare qualche conto e immaginare a quanto ammonta questa cifra.
Ottimo Angel alla cucina, e chiaramente posso dare una mano... e fare di questa un'esperienza collettiva anche nell'organizzazione.

Dear all,
I take my time for write you, in this particulare global time.
First of all, Iwould like to thank Robert for his precious and powerful proposal, together with Pia and Angel.
Each one of us, had met Tapa in his/her special way: for me He has been my guide, more or less closed, depending on the moments of life.
I am greatefull to him, for encouraging me to work with the body, and for accompanying me during some special moments.
If I consider the work with Tapa, there are some fields that I would like to re-pass through jointly you all:
I image:
-disquette work with sacred syllables,
-closed eyes experience
- I would like to reconnoiter nearby areas, and listen and observe wich kind images and tales they are carrying: for example, we could came back to the Olive's Trees in that field not far from La Luna, and spend time over there, or/and go back to the beach by the sea, and trigger sand rituals
-Silat training
-The Sentences's Tree: a symbobic presence that cannot be missing, moreover a well from which to draw inner images, stars accompanying the journey home
- As Robert wrote: daily time dedicated to our visions and images on the future, with the help of Giulio, is a beautiful proposal
Anyway my deepest and essential desire is to reconnect, going up the stream to return to visit the source.
We can collect each one's desires/proposal, and find a new way to do, how respond to Tapa, fructify, create a learners community in wich the energies come together. I'm glad to know that the Moon has been nourished in all these years by the Tribuana: my first visit to La Luna coincided with the meeting with Tapa, almost 20 years ago ... aahhhhhh uhhhhh, and it was a synergistic experience between the place and Tribuana who changed my life by opening it.
La Luna, as Montevaso - where I've been in 2010, are magic places, spaces designed to come together: I allow myself to consider that , maybe, it's not that easy to reach La Luna, so the trip could be a little expensive and long .. But maybe you already know the solutions and you have information for it.
Easter 2021 sounds good for me.
Maybe 5 days is too long? ...I wonder..
I also wonder if we can imagine that there are guests: people close to us (brothers, husbands, wives, friends), who have not personally known Tapa, but who have known him a little through us, and who could meet him in person on this occasion.
Thanks also for La Luna's offer to host this community of learners in the making by proposing a political cost, necessary to cover Tapa's expenses, and material expenses. Maybe we can already do some accounts and imagine how much this figure is.
Great Angel as aour cook, and and of course I can help ... and make this a collective experience even in the organization.

Hope you are all well, free from Corona, smile tribuana , ha ha haha if it is there still free time to spent for meeting tribuana.
In my consideration there are natural situation, condition of life now, step of life, personal evolution, personal interest and care, personal occupation, during and after the passage of Virus Corona COVID-19, that put each of us in different branches of a tree, different way, that will change many thing in human behaviour, needs, job, art, research, daily necessity, economical condition, manner in being, relation, …..
Can not imagine that meeting with Tribuana ….. will happen.
I appreciate very deeply your enthusiasm , idea , wishes for a meeting, and also thanks to La Luna and Montevaso, Ca Roman, Cima Grappa, Cenci, ….. offering magnifique fields for Tribuana cultivation. As myself now, I feel my energy not at the best as it should be to honour your project.
You are all and the place where we worked, are precious books that bloom more when we meet, personal or virtual or in group.

I try to cultivate baby tomato now in my garden, seeing grapes fruits growing in front of my window, and divers plants grows wildly from earth in spring, in my little house garden in Montreuil. It is a marvel, as living memories.

Non riesco a immaginare che l'incontro con Tribuana ... .. accadrà. Apprezzo molto il tuo entusiasmo, idea, desideri per un incontro, e anche grazie a La Luna e Montevaso, Ca Roman, Cima Grappa, Cenci, ... offrendo campi magnifici per la coltivazione di Tribuana. Come me stesso ora, sento la mia energia non al meglio come dovrebbe essere per onorare il tuo progetto. Siete tutti e il luogo in cui abbiamo lavorato, sono libri preziosi che fioriscono di più quando ci incontriamo, personali o virtuali o in gruppo.
